6KVA High Frequency Online Tower UPS C6K – Double Conversion Online UPS with Square Wave Output
Compact, Single-Phase Power Protection for Server Rooms, Industrial Control and Telecom Sites
The C6K high frequency online tower UPS is a 6 kVA / 5.4 kW double-conversion online uninterruptible power supply from FEI XIANG DA POWER. Built on DSP digital control and high-frequency PWM inverter technology, it rebuilds the output waveform from a stabilised DC bus, shielding your critical load from mains blackouts, voltage sags, surges, frequency drift and waveform distortion.
Thanks to its transformerless high-frequency architecture, the C6K delivers a square wave output while staying remarkably compact and light – just 190 × 368 × 562 mm and 36.8 kg, compared with 132 kg for an isolation-transformer model of the same rating. The battery pack is built directly into the chassis, so no external battery wiring is required.
Key Features
Typical Applications
The C6K is ideal for data centres and server rooms, industrial automation and CNC control cabinets, medical diagnostic and laboratory instruments, telecom base stations and edge sites, security and traffic-control systems, and precision testing lines for export electrical products – as well as any site where mains quality is poor or a generator serves as primary or backup power.
Important – Square Wave Output
The C6K is a transformerless high-frequency unit and therefore delivers a square wave, not a sine wave. It suits resistive loads and switch-mode power supplies (computers, servers, network and telecom equipment, LED drivers, laboratory instruments with electronic power stages). Loads that rely on a sine wave – motors and compressors, transformer-coupled or iron-core power supplies, audio equipment, and medical instruments requiring pure sine input – should be powered by an isolation-transformer model (e.g. C6K-DP-A).

Key Features
Double-conversion topology - the inverter always feeds the load, so line-to-battery transfer happens in 0 ms with no relay switching and no output interruption.
Active power factor correction - an input power factor above 0.99 keeps harmonic pollution low on the shared distribution board.
Wide input window - the inverter continues operating from 85-300 VAC and 40-70 Hz, riding through brownouts and frequency drift instead of switching to battery on every dip.
Single-phase input, no derating - accepts a single-phase three-wire supply (L + N + PE) and delivers its full rating without a reduced load figure.
ECO operation - raises efficiency on a stable grid, for sites that count every kilowatt-hour.
Complete communication suite - RS232 standard, with USB, dry contact, MODBUS card, smart slot and EPO available as options for building monitoring or BMS integration.
Square Wave Output & Load Matching
Because this is a transformerless, high-frequency design, the output is a square wave rather than a sine wave. For the loads it is meant for, that is not a compromise: resistive equipment and switch-mode power supplies draw from a square wave without trouble, and the inverter reacts to load steps without a heavy magnetic component in the way.
In practice, computers, servers, storage, network and telecom gear, LED drivers and laboratory instruments with electronic power stages are all a good match. Loads that need a clean sine wave - motors and compressors, transformer-coupled or iron-core power supplies, audio equipment, and medical instruments that specify pure sine input - belong on an isolation-transformer model instead. On a mixed rack, keep the sine-only equipment on a transformer-based unit and let this tower carry the switch-mode load.
Every tower in this range comes off our own high frequency UPS factory line, so our engineers can check a specific load list against it before you commit.
Applications
Server rooms and small data centres - a data center server room telecom UPS like this one carries a rack or two of servers, storage and network switches without the footprint of a transformer-based unit.
Telecom base stations and edge sites - unmanned cabinets and transmission bays where remote status matters more than local attention.
Industrial control cabinets - PLCs, controllers and monitoring electronics on a production floor where the mains is shared with motors and welding plant.
Security and traffic control - cameras, access control and signalling equipment that has to stay up through short outages.
Laboratory and test benches - instruments with switch-mode power stages, and small test rigs for export electrical products.
Installation & Commissioning
Check the supply against the nameplate - single-phase three-wire L + N + PE, nominal voltage and frequency inside the unit's input window, and a total connected load that fits the rating.
Place the tower on a level floor with the front and side ventilation grilles kept clear, leaving room for cable entry and for reading the front panel.
Terminate the input and output wiring with line, neutral and earth clearly identified, and check terminal torque before closing the access panel.
Work through the setup menu with the load disconnected - output voltage, frequency mode and ECO preference - and record the settings you choose.
Break the mains deliberately and confirm the load rides through the transfer, then restore the supply and check that the unit returns to normal operation.
Connect the monitoring interface you need, RS232 as standard or one of the optional cards, and confirm your platform reports status and alarms.
Technical Support & Model Matching
Sizing power protection correctly matters more than picking the biggest unit. Our engineering team reviews your load profile, phase configuration and site conditions, then helps you match the right double-conversion UPS, voltage stabilizer or isolation transformer from our range. We assist with wiring and installation guidance, commissioning checks and fault troubleshooting, and stay reachable by email, phone or WhatsApp for questions after delivery. Installation notes, service conditions and maintenance guidance accompany each unit so your team can run it confidently.

FAQ
Q1. How does the UPS handle an overload?
It rides through in stages rather than tripping at once: 105-125% of the rating for 10 minutes, 126-150% for 1 minute, and above 150% for 100 ms before its protection acts. That window is usually enough for a downstream device to finish starting up, or for a short circuit to clear without dropping the whole rack.
Q2. Can it start and run the load when the mains is already down?
Yes. Cold start lets this 6kVA high frequency tower UPS power its output from the battery with no mains present, so you can bring a critical load back up during a longer outage or check the installation before the utility supply is restored.
Q3. Can the output frequency be set for 50 Hz or 60 Hz equipment?
Yes. The output frequency is selectable between 50 Hz and 60 Hz, and the unit can either hold a fixed frequency or track and phase-lock to the input supply. Set it at commissioning to match both the equipment you are protecting and the local grid.
Q4. What routine maintenance does this tower need?
There is no external battery cabinet to inspect. Keep the front and side ventilation grilles free of dust, hold the room within the -10 degrees C to +40 degrees C operating range, and check the built-in battery at each service. Parts and technical answers come from the high frequency UPS factory that assembled the unit.
Q5. Does the same tower platform cover other capacities if the load grows?
Yes. The same platform runs from 1 kVA up to 20 kVA in tower format, so a site that expects to grow does not have to change families. The operating principle and the monitoring interfaces stay the same as you move up the range, and we build every size as a double conversion UPS manufacturer.
Q6. Will it run on a generator or a weak grid?
That is one of the conditions it is built for. The wide input window keeps the inverter connected while a generator settles and while the mains recovers from a dip, so the load does not drop to battery on every disturbance. Remote and industrial sites are common homes for a data center server room telecom UPS for exactly this reason.
